Rooftop Penthouse
The whole top floor, a plunge pool cut into the terrace, and a pergola that turns the afternoon sun into stripes. Nothing above you but the frigate birds.
Two bedrooms, both en-suite, both facing the water. The living space runs the length of the building and opens on three sides, which means that from four in the afternoon it is essentially an outdoor room with a roof.
The terrace is the point. A six-metre plunge pool in black tile, a daybed built into the parapet, an outdoor kitchen with a charcoal grill, and a long table that has held some memorable dinners. The dhows come back up the creek at sunset and pass close enough to wave at.
It sleeps six comfortably — six adults, not four adults and two folding beds. Groups take it for a week. Couples take it for an anniversary and regret nothing.

How much does the Rooftop Penthouse cost per night?+
The Rooftop Penthouse is a 96 m² two-bedroom penthouse for up to six guests at Black Groove Lounge in Kilifi, with a private plunge pool and a 180° creek view, from KSh 21,500 per night including breakfast. The rate moves with the season: green season from KSh 21,500, and up to KSh 38,500 over the festive weeks. Breakfast, cleaning at the end and all taxes are included.
How many people can stay in the Rooftop Penthouse?+
Up to 6. The rate covers 4; each further guest is KSh 1,800 per night and comes with their own breakfast, towels and space at the table.
What is the minimum stay?+
Two nights, five between 20 December and 5 January. A week takes 10 % off, a fortnight 15 %, a month 22 % — the calendar applies it while you pick.
