Baobab Studio
One room, one wall of glass, one old baobab standing guard outside it. The studio sits at garden level, so the palm shadows walk across your floor from seven in the morning.
The bed is a low platform in polished concrete with a linen-dressed mattress and a hand-stitched mosquito net that actually reaches the floor. There is no television. There is a turntable, a small crate of records from the lounge downstairs, and a ceiling fan that turns slowly enough to hear.
The kitchenette is honest: two induction rings, a deep stone sink, a fridge, decent knives, and enough counter to cook properly for two. Coffee is Kenyan, ground fresh, and it is included.
Sliding doors open the whole south wall onto a private strip of garden with an outdoor shower and a hammock strung between two casuarina trunks. It is the coolest room on the property in the afternoon.

How much does the Baobab Studio cost per night?+
The Baobab Studio is a 42 m² garden-level studio apartment for two at Black Groove Lounge in Kilifi, from KSh 7,400 per night including breakfast. The rate moves with the season: green season from KSh 7,400, and up to KSh 13,300 over the festive weeks. Breakfast, cleaning at the end and all taxes are included.
How many people can stay in the Baobab Studio?+
Up to 2. The rate covers 2; each further guest is KSh 1,800 per night and comes with their own breakfast, towels and space at the table.
What is the minimum stay?+
Two nights, five between 20 December and 5 January. A week takes 10 % off, a fortnight 15 %, a month 22 % — the calendar applies it while you pick.
