Creek Suite
A separate bedroom, a proper living room, and a veranda deep enough to sit out a rainstorm. The creek is straight ahead through three arched openings, and the tide changes the view twice a day.
The living room takes the corner of the building, so it catches the kaskazi wind from the north-east all through the dry season. Low linen sofa, a carved Swahili coffee table found in Mombasa old town, sisal underfoot, and a dining table for six under a slow fan.
The bedroom is behind a full-height pivot door: king bed, blackout shutters, and its own bathroom in dark terrazzo. A second sofa bed in the living room takes two more guests, which is why this is the room families keep coming back to.
Breakfast arrives at the veranda table if you want it there. Most people want it there — the fish eagles work the creek between seven and eight.

How much does the Creek Suite cost per night?+
The Creek Suite is a 68 m² one-bedroom suite for up to four guests at Black Groove Lounge in Kilifi, with a veranda over Kilifi Creek, from KSh 13,100 per night including breakfast. The rate moves with the season: green season from KSh 13,100, and up to KSh 23,520 over the festive weeks. Breakfast, cleaning at the end and all taxes are included.
How many people can stay in the Creek Suite?+
Up to 4. The rate covers 2; each further guest is KSh 1,800 per night and comes with their own breakfast, towels and space at the table.
What is the minimum stay?+
Two nights, five between 20 December and 5 January. A week takes 10 % off, a fortnight 15 %, a month 22 % — the calendar applies it while you pick.
